The Cape Cod Museum of Art is entirely devoted to collecting and preserving works by regional artists. It features works by such famous turn-of-the-century figures as portrait painter Charles W. Hawthorne, coastal landscapist Edwin Dickinson, and allegorical painter R.H. Ives Gammell; such works demonstrate why many artists were drawn to the Cape's stunning lighting opportunities and natural formations. The museum lies in the heart of town on the campus of the Cape Cod Center for the Arts, next to Scargo Lake.
Open Tue. - Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Sun. noon - 5:00 p.m.
Adults $8; Children under 18 are free.
